LUNCH N LEARN: The Impact of Alzheimer’s & Dementia in Our Community

Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias affect more than individuals and families. They also impact workplaces, employees, customers, caregivers, and the broader community.

Join the Alzheimer’s Association for a Lunch N Learn education program designed to help businesses and organizations better understand Alzheimer’s and dementia, while exploring practical ways to support employees, customers, and community members.

This program will also include a DementiaLIVE presentation, offering an interactive way to build empathy and better understand the experience of those living with dementia.

Participants will learn about Alzheimer’s disease and other common dementias, including warning signs and symptoms, why dementia awareness matters for organizations of every size, and how the disease is affecting Maryland families, communities, and the economy. The session will also highlight free resources, education, and support available through the Alzheimer’s Association.

This is a helpful opportunity for local businesses and organizations to lead with awareness, compassion, and practical next steps toward a more dementia-aware workplace.
